I know, I know…an invitation post! Woo-hoo! Starting this blog was driven by the fact that I would have a place to showcase my work better. And wouldn’t you know, I’ve only posted ONE. I have a tendency to overthink these things and I really need to just stop thinking so much. Expect more paper prettiness from here on out. Hold me to it people! Now onto Katie + Steve’s classic and perfectly southern wedding invitation suite.
When Katie asked me to help with her wedding stationery, I was so excited! We’re cousins and grew up exploring the main streets of Disney together. We always kept a close relationship {minus those years she felt pinching was the only true form of communication-ha!}, so I knew it would be extra special working with her. Plus, she has impeccable taste so the possibilities for this project were endless.
When I envisioned her wedding I knew it would be three things; preppy, pink and perfectly southern. Every one of those expectations was met when August 27th rolled around, and the stationery was no exception. From rose gold foiled Save the Dates, to the most authentic low country boil rehearsal invitation, we represented all sorts of southern charm through these pieces. Take a closer look at Katie + Steve’s letterpress wedding invitation suite. It’s classically simple and the floral envelope liner takes prettiness to a whole new level.
Sneaking in a photo of the most handsome ring bearer. I mean, look at that smile! Proud auntie right here.
Another really fun thing about designing wedding invitations for family is that I typically get to attend the big day and see it all come to life. My whole family attended this one and boy did we have fun. Andy and I also took my favorite photo of us at this wedding! I won’t bore you with it again, but if you haven’t seen it, click here and scroll down.
