Perfectly nautical and oh-so chic wedding invitation, coming right up! One of the very best parts of my job is getting to work so closely with brides to create stationery for their big day. Being that this bride was my cousin, it was extra special! I got to be part of the process from start to finish and it was a dream. We pulled together so many beautiful ideas that she and my aunt had in mind to create this beautiful, classic nautical wedding invitation.
Stop right here. We need to talk about this gorgeous hand-dyed silk ribbon from Frou Frou Chic. From the beginning Julia and I had talked about an alternative way to package the pieces together other than a pocket or belly band. We knew it would be a ribbon of some sort, but we never dreamed it would be this amazing.
Julia and Nick’s reception took place in Holland, Michigan at the Macatawa Bay Yacht Club. And let me tell you, there is nothing quite like a May wedding on the water to kick off the summer season. In addition to tying in Julia’s love for growing up on the water, we wanted to be sure that all of the pieces were cohesive. We transformed this map of Lake Macatawa into a custom envelope liner and carried it through to the reception signage.
I rarely attend the weddings I work on, so when I do I feel like a giddy little kid showing up to the venue and seeing my designs all over. This custom escort sign was an amazing entrance piece at the reception. If you look really close, you’ll see my name at Table 12! 😉
I just had to include one of the newlyweds because, have you ever seen a more beautiful bride?!
A big thanks to Maison Meredith Photography for the beautiful imagery.
The map details were simply amazing! I loved every piece! And you were so patient with all my requests! Love love love!
Beautiful Bride! Beautiful invitations!
Beautiful Wedding!
